Pioneer 10 was a monumental project, the first human-made spacecraft to reach Jupiter and then journey to the outer reaches of the solar system. Launched on March 3, 1972, from Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral aboard an Atlas Centaur rocket, the spacecraft made numerous scientific discoveries about Jupiter and the asteroid belt, and also provided valuable information about the outer regions of the solar system. Pioneer 10 returned its final dataset in January 2003. With a 31-year mission duration, it exceeded its planned 21-month lifespan by sixteen times.

Pioneer 11 was another American spacecraft, launched on April 6, 1973, from Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canaveral aboard an Atlas Centaur rocket. Weighing 259 kg, this probe was tasked with exploring the planets Jupiter and Saturn. The last communication was made in November 1995. This model was designed by MOC DESIGN.
